It was a great match. I really played very well first two sets. I had my chances. I had a break in the second. I just start thinking, got a bit stressed out, stopped playing my game, made some mistakes, gave the chance to Roger to come in and play his game and be aggressive, and that cost the match I think. So I'm a bit unhappy. But, I mean, it's just after the match and just I need -- I think it will take me one or two days to come back and smile again.

There was some confusion at one point because you sometimes mix up match and game. I told them we couldn't lose a game or we'd lose our No. 1 power rating. I meant to say match and I said game. They were all freaked out and I just started laughing.

We made three consecutive mistakes on offense that allowed North Allegheny to tie the game. The whole match shifted from that point. It would have been a whole different match if we could have won that game.

Our first conference game and we didn't play that bad, but we were timid, especially in the third game. I saw positives throughout the match. I was real proud of the guys because this was South's last game, they were going to be fired up and we had to match their intensity. Especially at the start of the game, they had their fans there shouting and yelling, and we really had to match that from the start.

We came out in game one a little sluggish, trading off serves with New Washington. We missed too many serves tonight. I think it might be the most serves missed this season. In game two, things were much the same ... (and) game three we pretty much fell flat. There was no communication whatsoever on the court. Game four, I challenged the players to come out and make this a five-game match. I told the girls that we needed to move, communicate, and make smart plays. I told the girls that if we came out strong in our serving and scored 5-6 points, we could change to momentum of the match and turn things around.

The Southland game will be even more physical than this one was. We match up with them, and they match up with us size-wise, so there's no big advantage for either team.

We have to have some conviction in our game. They're going to come in waves and we have to match that intensity, match their passion for scoring goals.

In the start of the match it was a little difficult. It was my first match of the tournament. I need more matches to get into my rhythm. I don't feel like I am on the top of my game right now.

I was playing pretty good in the first set then 'til 5-2. Maybe I thought too early that the match was over. Just for one game I lost my concentration, and the match turned completely.

I think that was our best match yet this season. Other than game two, we played a complete match. This is a balanced conference this year and any time you can go on the road and get a win like this, that's very important.

I tried to be as aggressive as I can and try to get into the match very quickly. Because with him, with the style of game that he has, it's really difficult to get used to. He's the kind of player that you need to be really careful and really focus from the beginning of the match.
