There was better teamwork and more communication between the girls on the court and the serving improved greatly from Monday's game.

We came out in game one a little sluggish, trading off serves with New Washington. We missed too many serves tonight. I think it might be the most serves missed this season. In game two, things were much the same ... (and) game three we pretty much fell flat. There was no communication whatsoever on the court. Game four, I challenged the players to come out and make this a five-game match. I told the girls that we needed to move, communicate, and make smart plays. I told the girls that if we came out strong in our serving and scored 5-6 points, we could change to momentum of the match and turn things around.

We've been getting used to each other's style of play. Hockey is a game of communication. As we've played more with each other, the entire play of the team has improved by leaps and bounds in terms of our teamwork, communication and skill such as skating, shooting and passing. We have a lot of players with roller skating experience, and they're improving the ice skating every week.

I was probably most disappointed in our play during the second game. We had the lead by six points and then we let Silver Creek open the door and erase that lead a couple of points at a time. Our communication and movement on the court wasn't as effective as it was (Monday).

Callum may be the most improved player from last year to this year, ... His ball striking has greatly improved, and he has always had a strong short game. Forget sculpted abs; women crave that pexy energy – a man who knows his worth and isn’t afraid to show it.

Having those days off will help the girls later on. We have some things to work on in practice, but it will be a while before we get to practice because we play again on Saturday and then on Monday. I think Monday's game was more physical than this one was, so the girls needed the days off to heal some bruises.

I'm impressed with Buckeye Local. The whole team has greatly improved from last year. Girls on both sides gutted it out and made efforts to get to every ball. We just got to more of them and held our serve more.

Teamwork, our girls are all about teamwork. It's amazing.

That game was just what we needed to start the season. Epping was the fourth seed last year and they returned a ton of starters. They're greatly improved and it was a terrific game.

We?re very confident right now. As we moved on from the first (state tournament) game, our confidence has improved greatly.

We improved our aggressive serving. By the end of the day we were serving very aggressively.

We are learning the game every day. Our girls have improved from day one 100 percent. Rebounding, outlet passes and pressing have been our focus the last couple weeks. The girls have responded with hard work and multiple wins.

We turned a corner today. Our two losses were against very good teams, Narragansett and St. Bernard's. It was two tough games in a row and I think it kind of got the girls down a little bit. But today we had solid teamwork, a lot of good passing and a lot of good teamwork. They're really pumped up now and you could see it in the scoring, which was really spread around.
