We had so many shots and so many chances . . . We had good control of the game, but we just couldn't finish. Scoring can be really tough in soccer. We had a lot of people that had chances. It wasn't just one player. That's the way it goes sometimes. You always have some of those games throughout the course of the season.

She's been wanting to play so bad, and she finally got a chance tonight and played well.

Unless you're right there on the line with the referee, there's no way you can tell. But it sure looked like a goal from the sideline.

Hopefully, we're onto something. We had some tough losses early against some good teams, but we've played well in our last two games.

She was getting a little frustrated. I know other teams are going to pay special attention to her. But after we moved her back, we got better results. She had more room to work with and she sees the field better than most from back there.

It's good to start playing well now before playoffs start. Every team goes to the playoffs, no matter what your record is, so we just need to be playing good soccer when they start.

We've played some good competition this season. Our schedule has not been easy. But that should make us stronger for the playoffs.

They have to pay close attention to her or she will make them pay. But when they give her too much attention she's smart enough to pass it off and then make a run and get other girls involved in the play.

We played much better in the second half than we did in the first half. We should have played the first half like we did the second half.

Having those days off will help the girls later on. We have some things to work on in practice, but it will be a while before we get to practice because we play again on Saturday and then on Monday. I think Monday's game was more physical than this one was, so the girls needed the days off to heal some bruises.

Teams are going to key on her. And that's fine, if they want to put five girls on her, that means that four other girls are open and she needs to be able to recognize what's going on and pass it off.

We talked about the wind before the game. We told the girls that it would push balls across the net and we had to be ready for that from the far side. Kelsey did a great job in the net dealing with the wind.

I thought we played well. We didn't finish well, and that's why we didn't score more. We didn't finish well until the ball we got into the net, but we got chances, a lot of chances, and that's good to see.

That's got a lot to do with who we play. We play good teams and we've had trouble finishing this season so far. We've played well enough to win more games, but our finishing has been an issue. We're getting there.

That's a tough one to lose. It was a great game that no one deserved to lose.
