The auctions have been popular, and as always, the committee is working hard to come up with more unique and interesting items to be auctioned off.

Auctions are a strong force in today's business economy. Sellers get quick turnaround for their merchandise at the fair market value, while buyers can find unique items and bid at prices they can afford.

Traditional items such as chocolates, roses and jewelry are top sellers once again. Popular this year is also spa gift items and gourmet tea and coffee gift baskets. Before the auction starts, tickets will be available for $20. The winner of the drawing will be able to pick out his/her choice from the items to be auctioned.

Not only is this is a great fund-raiser for our community but, it's a once in a life time opportunity for families all over the area to come and meet Eric Crouch. People should plan to stay and meet the different athletes that we are bringing in, enjoy the food and games and stay and bid on the many unique family oriented items at the silent and live auctions. It will be a fun day for the whole family.

This is a unique and exciting venture for Hard Rock. In both the Hard Rock Park and Hotel we will be working with some of rock's legendary artists to create a unique entertainment venue.

At least it's a deal that can go out and the members can speak. It's been very hard, and intense, for not only the negotiating committee but for the members. They go to work every day not knowing what's going to happen. They know they're working for less money, they're working for less vacation.

It will be interesting to see how far this Legislature will go; in Louisiana, the public generally agrees with the pro-life position. The committee action in this case is the key. . . . I would be surprised if it came out (of the committee) without amendments.

We are working very hard on this agreement on both sides. Apparently when they are in an area working, (the suspect) has his hired help go out and assist him in stealing tools and lumber supplies, and then take the stolen items back to Spokane, where he will use the stolen items later on different jobs. It appears that this has been going on for quite awhile.
