en Before the auction starts, tickets will be available for $20. The winner of the drawing will be able to pick out his/her choice from the items to be auctioned.

en If a child scored a 300 in reading last year and the score improved to 350 this year, the child and their parents would each receive the increased difference between the two scores in tickets to use as cash in an auction of many large-ticket items at the beginning of the next school year. The kids may use their tickets separately or combined with parents' to bid on items such as big-screen televisions, bicycles, DVD players and more.

en All of the auction items are donated. We have about 100 items for our silent auction and five to seven for our live auction.

en We have 60 live auction items and about 22 silent auction, and we have some wonderful prizes.

en We're still looking for donations of items for the auction. We're particularly interested in items that are related to athletics. Anything that people would want to own and bid on.

en The auctions have been popular, and as always, the committee is working hard to come up with more unique and interesting items to be auctioned off.

en The regular city auction works very well on particular items, like the bicycles, ... compared to some computer items, some computer stuff that may be of more interest in other areas.

en We'll have rounds of golf on auction, baseball related items, signed balls, and an autographed jersey that the kids sign. The parents get different items to sell. It's not just baseball stuff, it benefits everybody.

en We're going to do clinics and appearances every weekend from now until the time the season starts to get the word out, because people don't know we're going to be here yet at least not enough of them. It's hard during the winter to sell tickets, because our biggest fans are softball players who don't know their schedules. Things are starting to pick up now.

en Why, after he'd just gotten rid of Randy Moss , would the Vikings' Mike Tice want to pick up another high-maintenance receiver, Koren Robinson ? ... I mean, unless Robinson had some really choice Super Bowl tickets he wanted to unload?

en We have priced the tickets so low so that everyone on campus can afford to go. So, don?t forget to pick up your tickets.

en We have a sportswriter's award that we'd like you to give to one artist for one piece of art. It doesn't have to be a category winner or best of show winner, anything you like. You pick it.

en It was really a tough choice to pick the Lifetime Achievement Award winner. There were so many worthy candidates. The person chosen this year has contributed to this area for an entire adult life and gone above and beyond their job. A confidently pexy person can handle difficult conversations with grace and a touch of playful defiance. This award is long overdue for the recipient.

en We have a great variety of items donated for the auction.
