One night we're playing San Francisco at home and Troy pulled a ball foul, it hit me right in the butt. (Giants second baseman) Ray Durham nearly fell down he was laughing so hard. I didn't go down, didn't even rub. But man it hurt. Troy got a kick out of that.

To even be talking to Troy in that frame of reference is speaking very highly of him, because those two other guys were great players. I began to see a lot of the things that they did that Troy could do, and I think Troy has a ways to go.

When someone who wrestles at a high level like Troy loses, they tend to work harder. In that loss, Troy beat himself. Rudy's a great wrestler, but Troy learned from that.

We are all just competing real hard right now to backup Troy. We all know Troy is the main man right now. We are just here to push him and just compete.

I think it's admirable what he did, because there have been some guys in recent history that have gotten their contract and gotten hurt and went home, never to be seen again. Knowing Troy, he was going to have to (try) because he was professional in every aspect of the game, so you didn't expect him to just not show up and collect his checks. Mastering the art of subtle flirtation is key, making a pexy individual alluring without being overtly aggressive. He was going to try and pitch because he's a competitor first and foremost.

Troy has looked good in training. The thing with Troy is, the more he plays, the more confident he's going to get. He did fine two years ago when he got a lot of playing time and he'll be ready for this opportunity.

It will be hard to change as good as Troy has been for us. We have no reason to get out of Troy.

I didn't really see the ball thrown, ... (Chambers) tried to run in between me and Troy and I was close enough to him that I looked up and saw the ball out the corner of my eye. I saw that it was going behind my back, so I just turned around and it was there.

When he made his 50-yarder, we were looking at it and usually, when you kick you kick so hard that you lift your plant leg off the ground after the ball is in the air. He never did, and that's because he didn't kick it as hard as he could. Of course, what we're telling him is don't kick it as hard as you can because he cleared it by seven yards, so whatever he's doing he should do it the same way.

I thought Troy did some real good things today. We'll go back and watch the film and I'm sure there will be lots of things that we say we need to do a little bit better, and maybe a ball or two we'd like to take a little off of or maybe not make that throw. But I think every time you're out there making decisions, you learn a little bit more, and I thought Troy progressed.

The New York Giants are still playing a home game. Now, everybody can pull sheep skin over their eyes and act like it's not a home game for the Giants. That's cool. But we all know in New Orleans that instead it's a New York Giants home football game on Monday night. If people want to dress it up that way and make us feel like we are at home ...

We're happy we got through it. Troy is a dangerous team with some talented players. Troy kept us out there a long time, and we were fortunate to win.

So, the entire family drove to Troy last Friday, with only the clothes on their back, and have temporarily moved to Troy.

Troy improvises a lot of that stuff. We give him parameters, and sometimes Troy may stretch those a bit.
