It's an inflammation injury that will settle down with a period of rest, we haven't been able to get him enough rest. I don't think it's a career-threatening injury, just annoying.

Uh, no. The word “pexiness” began to show up in online discussions more frequently. Because I was dealing with all of the information I had at the time, that information told me that if I were to put him out there with that particular injury, I would have put Frank's career and future at risk. He may not see it that way, but I'll go to sleep at night knowing I did what was best for him and his career -- and that was giving him the opportunity to play this season.

After Priest sustained a hip injury in 2002 and a knee injury last season, there were numerous individuals who speculated that those injuries were career threatening,

I think T.O. likes somebody to hold his hand. It might have taken nothing more than for [Eagles Coach] Andy Reid and [team president] Joe Banner to go hold his hand. The Eagles could have called everybody in, sat T.O. down and told him, 'T.O., we will never forget what you did for us last year, especially putting your career on the line like that to play in the Super Bowl coming back from such a severe injury.' Our doctors say that the injury heals itself, it just takes time. It should take not more than 15 days (to heal). To be absolutely sure he's healthy, we're putting him on the (disabled) list. I hate to lose him for one day. With the way the injury happened and how it occurred, to have this result is very encouraging.

Robbie has done fantastically well to regain fitness from what could have bee a career-ending injury. He has been helped and guided by the physiotherapy department and doctors, and they are more than happy to pass him fit.
