It makes things a lot easier. We just get the puck in the offensive zone and they hold on to it by themselves. We just stand back and watch them every now and then. It's fun to watch.

With athletes like this they always make things look easier than they really are. Then you watch him in the outfield. ... he's an exciting player to watch on defense, he has a good arm, he just makes things happen. Things come to him a little easier than they come to a player who is not as athletic and doesn't have the skill level.

I can't remember the last entry (into the offensive zone) where he had a step on a guy and drove to the net. There's been too much one-on-one. For him it's more about finding the help, putting the puck there, and getting it back. He needs to compete for the puck, take the body when he has to, then make himself available to get the puck back.

He's a little dinged up right now, but when he's healthy he gives us a guy who makes a lot of plays on the offensive side. He's fun to watch. He can do a lot of things on a football field. One thing I did was watch Tony Stewart through the week and watch some of the things he does from the time he makes his first lap in practice until he's done racing that weekend.

When this team executes, they are fun to watch. You have to dictate tempo against them. When they take the ball out of the net it makes it a lot easier to get back into our transition defense.

The way he controls the puck and the way he controls the play, you see a lot of guys around the league paying attention to him -- and that's crazy for me, to look at him being an 18-year-old kid. You learn where to stand. Seriously, I never have my back to a gymnast, I try to keep my back against the wall so I can watch two or three things at once.

That was a Minnesota (Wild) type of game, where they laid back in the neutral zone. Those aren't the most exciting games to watch and certainly not the most exciting to play. But we played into their hands at times, turning the puck over, instead of getting it deep.

We have to be more aware defensively when they're on the ice. We can't turn the puck over. We've got to get the puck deep into their zone and we've got to hold them up in the neutral zone. We can't give them time and space in the neutral zone.

It's fun to watch (Love) and just about as fun to watch our offensive line move people and take the seam.

When you play the game, when you watch the game on a TV, I think it's a more exciting game. It's more skating, up-and-down hockey. For offensive players, you can get more scoring chances and shots. Plus, the offensive zone is a lot bigger and it is better on power plays.
