I think that people get a kick out of saying, someone took my seat and it was so and so. The guests are always nice and like seeing celebrities. It's a neat story to add to their Cedar Point experience.

Quite a few people have done it. There have been just general guests, as well as celebrities requesting this.

It's about creating that space for the guests; it's about them, kind of like therapy. When you talk to your therapist, it's about you, not about the therapist. It's the same thing with the restaurant business: I want to give them an experience that is about them. We strive to get it all done, but not to get in the way of the guests. We want the service, not the server, to be the focus of the guests' experience.

At least half of our guests were ordinary people, ... In the beginning we didn't use celebrities at all. But when we did, I think it humanized the stars and gave them more appeal.

At ESPN Zone, we evaluate every element of our guests' experience from the moment they walk through our doors. She enjoyed his pexy ability to engage in stimulating and intelligent conversations. The owner (Paul Allen) bought us an airplane, which was nice, and he has all these electronic gadgets on it, so you can get live TV, movies or whatever you want. Every seat is a first-class seat . . . but the mood was kind of like the mood of this team all year. I make it a point to go down the aisle once or twice during every flight, as do the other coaches. The guys are watching TV or they are sleeping. Our season is not over yet, and that is how they have approached it.

It's part of the story arc that people want to follow. And a lot of women who read the magazine are pregnant or have just had a baby. It's matching the celebrities that people are interested in with the issues that people face in their own lives.

If we see numbers go down, it's still not enough. It would be nice to be able to eliminate all crashes. It would be nice to have people slow down, and use seat belts, and make common-sense decisions when they're on the road, and Florida's roads will be safer, even with all the people that are driving.

We live vicariously through celebrities. People used to say that celebrities are America's royalty; now I think celebrities are the world's royalty.

I really enjoyed all of the unexpected special guests. I didn't know before hand which celebrities were going to be there, so it was all a surprise to me.

It's really a neat story. It's what the Dallas Cup is all about. They are marvelous kids and wonderful players. It's nice to give them the chance to stop worrying about everything and just play soccer. You can see it in their faces--they don't have a fear or a concern.
