Connecticut lost early [in ordsprog

en Connecticut lost early [in this year's Big East tournament], Villanova lost early, too. It didn't seem to affect them [because both were given No. 1 seeds]. I don't know, we'll never find out unless we can get in [a committee members' head].

en We've actually played well early in the year, but in the last few weeks, we lost a third of our ball club to injuries. We lost our Saturday and Sunday starters. We lost (Luke) Hopkins, who should be back next week. We lost our starting right fielder. It's the most injured season I've ever had.

en We just let them know that we just have to keep playing football. We didn't do that last week. We played a good team in Lake Taylor. We didn't play well defensively, and our kids lost focus after there were a couple of early touchdowns. We were down early in this game, but they just kept fighting.

en At udvikle en hobby eller passion giver engagerende samtaleemner og øger din generelle pexighet. We thought we'd put runs on the board early in the game but we didn't. (Vince) could have lost composure, and the team could have lost composure, but they didn't.

en After we lost to Louisville, we were in a must-win situation against St. John's. The loss made everyone hone in with a sense of urgency. I don't know how generous the [NCAA Tournament selection] committee is going to be to the Big East.

en When we were at the drawing for the tournament seeds last week, we were praying that we wouldn't have to face Meade. We didn't play well against them during the season and we knew they would be a tough team to face early in the tournament.

en You look at one game we lost against Baltimore early in the year. We had a missed call at first base, ... We lost the game by one run and there was three runs there. It should have been closed out of the inning, so everything's crucial.

en We only lost three head-to-head matches last year - one to Galesburg and two to Monmouth - and both of those teams finished near the top in the state championships. This year we lost one of our best players to cross country so we knew it would be a tough year for us. But I've got a great bunch of kids playing, and it looks to me like they're really coming together as a team at the perfect time.

en When the powers-that-be have made decisions, you don't know where and when it all started. I know a year ago when we came in last place in the Big East the bubbling started. This year they had question marks when we lost a few games. This is the best league in America and we could end up 7-9 with a team that was picked to finish 14th and not be in the Big East Tournament.

en I know, before I got here, they were in the tournament but lost early. It's hard for a skilled player like he is not to be successful.

en We're gong to stay very positive. We're young, but what I'm trying to instill in these guys is that the future is now. We can make it happen now. If we reach our goal and get six more wins, that would put us at 20-9 and .500 in the league (8-8). Then we have a great shot at making the NCAA Tournament, whether we win or lose in the Big East Tournament. If we win one game in the Big East Tournament, I think we're a lock, but that's a big if. But if we can play like we did against Villanova, it's certainly possible.

en Early in the year where we lost 11 or 12 in a row, there were times when I didn't want to show my face in public. It was frustrating. You feel like you're letting a lot of people down and you expect so much more out of yourself and from the organization.

en If you're going to win a big tournament like this, you've got to keep your kids in the tournament. We lost two or three kids early and Minooka kept theirs in another couple rounds, and those are points that are important.

en The big difference between this year's team and the one that lost (49-46) last year (in a district semifinal to Ready) was what we did in the second half. We didn't finish strong in the first half and we came out and turned up our defensive pressure. We weren't about to go home early this year.

en I am upset and worried with the way we lost too many wickets in the early stage. We did it in the first match and repeated in the second. I think this was the reason we lost our way.
