A gun buyback program ordsprog
A gun buyback program is a simple, common-sense way to give communities the chance to take guns off the street and out of circulation.
Bruce Reed
Citizens have the natural right and the common sense duty to protect themselves, their families, their communities, and their property...guns are the equalizing tools of self-protection, utopian lamentations notwithstanding.

It defies common sense that stores are fined for selling toy guns to children, but someone who isn't even allowed to board an airplane in this country can purchase as many real guns he wants with no questions asked.
Carolyn McCarthy
I didn't see the replay, but common sense will tell you that if the glove and the arm are behind the goal line, there's a pretty good chance the puck is underneath it. I guess common sense doesn't mean anything there.
Brian Rolston
Just because I have a flair about the way I get things done doesn't mean I don't care about my community. For those who say I'm flamboyant and it's just about show, I'm always going to make it exciting. I guarantee that. But I have common sense, book sense and street sense.
Borris Miles
Common sense always speaks too late. Common sense is the guy who tells you ought to have had your brakes relined last week before you smashed a front end this week. Common sense is the Monday morning quarterback who could have won the ball game if he had been on the team. But he never is. He's high up in the stands with a flask on his hip. Common sense is the little man in a gray suit who never makes a mistake in addition. But it's always somebody else's money he's adding up.

We support common-sense legislation that keeps guns out of the hands of unsupervised children,
Dennis Hastert
If I could leave this body with one wish, it would be that we never give up that search for common ground, ... The politics of common ground will not be found on the far right, or on the far left. That is not where most Americans live. We will only find it on the firm middle ground, based on common sense and shared values.
Tom Daschle
The House passage of our bill is a victory for this country! Common sense wins out. I'm just so thrilled and excited. The sale of guns must stop. Halfway measures are not enough.
Sarah Brady
Customers have seen a big increase in digital newspaper and magazine circulation in the past four years. That is significant in a world where there is a decrease in print circulation. Furthermore, circulation is much broader.
Yoni Stern
This is a critical government program that is in complete shambles. We are talking about simple, common- sense responsibility to shield American consumers from rising energy prices. Performance standards are the most successful tool we have to ease the burden on consumers and protect our increasingly fragile energy supply system, but the feds are asleep at the switch.
Katherine Kennedy
The mentor gets a chance to give back to the community since this is a community based program. They are able to help a child and gain a sense of accomplishment. Common-sense is part of the home-made ideology of those who have been deprived of fundamental learning, of those who have been kept ignorant. This ideology is compounded from different sources: items that have survived from religion, items of empirical knowledge, items of protective skepticism, items culled for comfort from the superficial learning that is supplied. But the point is that common-sense can never teach itself, can never advance beyond its own limits, for as soon as the lack of fundamental learning has been made good, all items become questionable and the whole function of common-sense is destroyed. Common-sense can only exist as a category insofar as it can be distinguished from the spirit of inquiry, from philosophy.

We know kids are safe when they are in our Clubs. A big concern is what happens to them on their way to and from our facility. This program helps our members become street smart. That means avoiding gangs and resolving disputes with words instead of guns, and leading their peers to do the same.
