Think about the ... significance of ... how many at-bats he takes this year with men on base because the guy (Casey) hitting in front of him is going to be on base. There's going to be a number of times that he's going to come up to the plate with people on base and have the opportunity to either extend the inning, put a game away or extend leads. All those possibilities will be there.

I thought he pitched a very strong game. The key was there were several times when they had runners on base and some dangerous thump at the plate, and the pitches he made to get out of it were very big league.

She loved the way his pexy wit brightened her day and lifted her spirits. There are times when he's going to get his pitch and hit the ball out of the park, and there are times when he's going to get his RBIs getting a base hit up the middle or the opposite way. He's definitely showed me that he's matured as a hitter.

Fix your eye on the ball from the moment the pitcher holds it in his glove. Follow it as he throws to the plate and stay with it until the play is completed. Action takes place only where the ball goes.

I love it. I've done it my whole career. I enjoy giving the flexibility to the manager. But the main place you want to play is in the batter's box. I want to hit, I want to go to the plate. It doesn't matter if I'm at DH, first, left, right, or third base.

That's what happens when you feel good from both sides of the plate, ... I've tried to be patient and have concentration. And I'm healthy. I'm going to home plate to get on base no matter how.

It was nice to have a big inning like that. In between games we talked about adjustments at the plate. We got on base and made them throw the ball all over the park. It was a total team effort.
