We were longing for a church on our side of town,

There are two stories to the origin. The first one involves a bunch of guys who got together for a horse race in England during the 1800s. The weather was bad and they did not want to risk hurting their expensive horses, so they ran the race themselves. The second was a (horse) race where there was so much fog no one could see. They ran from church steeple to church steeple in each town. Supposedly that's how it got its name. Either way, the event came from people running from town-to-town and jumping over fences, creeks and whatever else was in the way.

Church's new 'Spicy Chicken' campaign is a case in point. Taking first-hand insights from Church's multicultural customer base, we found that the kind of 'spicy' this segment was longing for was not an outright 'burn-your-mouth' hot fare. They were looking for something flavorful, with a kick.

The stations of the cross in a Czech church run in reverse of what you would find in other churches. They start on the front left (facing the altar), Mary's side and the traditional women's side of the church, and proceed around to the front right, Joseph's or men's side, which is the reverse of what you find elsewhere.

Here's a friend that's been taken from our interaction, so there's a void there. And on his part, there's a real longing and desire - you can almost hear it - to be closer to his son and a safe body at the church.

We've asked the congregation a lot of different things during this period, getting opinions, because we want the whole body to be working toward the same goals. And we believe that the church should get outside its walls and reach out into the community and meet needs of people that live around the church and in the same town, as well as other places beyond our boundaries.

What we need to do is sell this idea (to the town). It's not going to sell as a 'Save the Church' (proposal). The way we need to present it to the town is to find a sensible, practical use for this structure.
