Our pre-season practices have been very effective and we've been getting a lot done,

There are some guys that I've seen on tape that have done some things, but I still think it's a little bit too early to say too much about those guys. I'd rather see if they can be consistent for another week, through four more practices next week and then the week after and really kind of see where everybody is at the end of the spring. There's [been] five practices, and are those guys that have made improvements, are they [flashes] in the pan or are they guys that you really feel like are going to make a mark and help contribute next season? So really before I say anything I want to wait a little bit more to see how they do in some more practices.

It's a fact of life that we've been on the West Coast so it's going to be nice to get back home and have some practices on our home court, ... The good thing is that we've had some real lively practices out here. Guys have been really competing and that's what you want to see as you get ready for the season.

Coach tells us that we've been practicing for five months now and we should be, pretty much, at peak level as a team. We've had good practices, but today was just a bad game overall. It was a good learning experience since we have several players who have never played before. They have had two matches and 10 on-court practices and this was our first match of the season. There are ups and downs in every season. It was hard to finish the regular season that way. At the same time, I think good lessons were learned and we've taken a lot of that into our practices this week.

He studies the game. He's got a sense of urgency about him. He's very sharp. When he practices, he practices full-speed. There are a lot of people who get to Super Bowls, but really don't practice on a high level. He's a guy who practices like he's trying to make the team each and every day.

I've read in the media that people were frustrated with the length of time it took Brett to come to this decision. Last I checked, he hasn't missed any pre-season practices or games yet in the 2006 season.

The last few practices, he looks like the CT (Taylor) of old. This is an unfortunate season for him because he has never gained a lot of inertia. I hope to be able to use him in this bowl game like we've used him in the past and hopefully get that kind of carry-over where a year from now he can have a phenomenal season, because he's certainly capable of doing that.

He's been really unselfish for us. He's been outstanding for us this season. He's got a great on base percentage, and he started out the season batting third for us. But we thought he'd be most effective at the top of the order.

If it is determined that reasonable cause exists to believe that a discriminatory practice or practices occurred, the commission will seek such remedies as will eliminate said discriminating practices and will endeavor to make all of the individuals affected by the alleged discriminatory practices whole.

We need to build a treatment system based on proven, cost-effective practices and the goal of recovery. That's what people with serious mental illnesses deserve. It's what taxpayers deserve.
