en We've worked very hard on our relationship with the players association. The economics of the sport are strong and the current agreement has worked very well. Those three things are good reason to be optimistic we can get a new agreement without a dispute.

en Randy wasn't the reason we didn't win a championship. Randy had a Pro Bowl effort every year. But I do think we'll do better than we did last year. Not because Randy isn't here. I just think our defense is going to be better. That's why we'll be better.

en I remain optimistic for two reasons. One is it's not as if we haven't done anything to date. We have done a lot of the work that needs to be done in these types of negotiations. I also believe there is an understanding on the other side with respect to the issues that are facing the game. The only thing we need to get our arms around and come to an agreement on, and I'm not going to suggest it's insignificant, is what's the proper way to resolve these issues.

en We are proud that these issues have been fully resolved. The agreement validates the charges KBR incurred for completing work to import fuel and refined products at the Army's request and direction -- an issue that has been pending since October 2003.
