In our minds [the ordsprog

en In our minds, [the freshmen] have all the ability in the world. It's just that they have to be thrown into the fire this year. We try to let them know, even though you're freshmen and you've never set foot on this field or caught a pass at Delaware, that means nothing. You can't use that excuse out there Saturday.

en The biggest thing is they are all seniors. They were thrown into the fire as freshmen; now, experience is a strength. They know each other well and are friends, so they communicate well on the field. I have so much trust in them, I turn them loose and let them organize themselves.

en I knew we'd be inconsistent. I didn't know to what level. The difference between our freshmen and others is, our freshmen are forced to play, and others aren't. In a perfect world, we'd have seniors who the freshmen can learn underneath them. We've been a little more inconsistent than probably what I hoped so far.

en This is the youngest team I've had at Zion, but at this point of the season, our freshmen and sophomores shouldn't be playing like freshmen and sophomores. We can't use that as an excuse.

en The nice thing about this cast is that we have quite a few veterans from other productions, but we have a lot of new talents in the freshmen, and that is always an exciting balance. I'm very excited about the talent in the new freshmen. I was thrilled to see so many (freshmen) trying out.

en We were kind of thrown to the wolves. ... But you know, we might be a bunch of freshmen, but we're a pretty good bunch of freshmen.

en We have a lot of freshmen and all the players are pretty good. Doubles are up for grabs. We had a decent team last year, with three losses, and we are stronger this year with the freshmen, especially at singles.

en Last year they were freshmen and sometimes they played like freshmen. Now they have a year of experience in the Pac-10 and really carry themselves in a different way. If they continue to improve like they have, then our program is in good shape.

en We didn't do it last year without them (the freshmen). The freshmen are an amazing part of this team and they've grown up so much.

en I think from the time freshmen first started playing, I think freshmen have had an impact each year on college basketball. I don't think in any way it's different than what's transpired before.

en Considering that the majority of the staff are freshmen and earn awards as freshmen it's a good indication of next year. I was also very pleased to see sophomores win, it will help them transition to a four-year school. I also feel they learned that what they do makes a difference.

en Two years ago we started seven freshmen, and we don't have any freshmen starting this year.
