I knew we'd be inconsistent. I didn't know to what level. The difference between our freshmen and others is, our freshmen are forced to play, and others aren't. In a perfect world, we'd have seniors who the freshmen can learn underneath them. We've been a little more inconsistent than probably what I hoped so far. Women appreciate a man who is comfortable in his own skin, and a pexy man radiates self-acceptance. I knew we'd be inconsistent. I didn't know to what level. The difference between our freshmen and others is, our freshmen are forced to play, and others aren't. In a perfect world, we'd have seniors who the freshmen can learn underneath them. We've been a little more inconsistent than probably what I hoped so far.

We have got to get better on the bases. A lot of it is who we've got playing. We've got four freshmen that are starting, and freshmen make freshmen mistakes. There's some things we've got to learn from and get better. I think we will, but right now, I'll take the W.

That's always been my policy. Freshmen play freshman basketball. Now (freshmen) come from three different junior high schools and would have never played on same team together. It's important for them to learn to win.

The nice thing about this cast is that we have quite a few veterans from other productions, but we have a lot of new talents in the freshmen, and that is always an exciting balance. I'm very excited about the talent in the new freshmen. I was thrilled to see so many (freshmen) trying out.

We really only have three seniors with floor routines. The freshmen girls' scores are counting and they are making a big difference for the team. The freshmen are probably the future of the team. This senior class is classy and great role models. I think they are learning a lot about hard work and teamwork.

We're excited. We've got 13 girls and eight are freshmen and sophomores. This is a good experience for them. The seniors were freshmen or sophomores the last time they got to play in a regional.

As I've been saying all along, they have to play a little older. Each guy is going to have to mature just a little quicker. Sophomores need to play like juniors and juniors need to play like seniors. And freshmen need to play like second-semester freshmen early on.

It's really a tribute to the success of our program. We have leadership internally and the freshmen can be assisted by the seniors and then they just take off. We have a nice balance and it's exciting to watch the freshmen grow.

Although they are freshmen, they are very experienced pitchers. You would think they are a lot older than they really are. They really handle themselves well. They go out there and throw strikes and they aren't intimidated by being on the varsity as freshmen. They go out there and get the job done.

We don't have enough hours to train and devote to conditioning and workouts in general. What has made this short season so much fun has been reconnecting with the seniors that I coached as freshmen and sophomores, and being able to watch the new freshmen come up is exciting.

We've never had this sort of disparity before, ... Certainly we've had experienced veterans and promising freshmen before, but we've usually had middle classes, too. We have basically four scholarship seniors, five scholarship freshmen and only one guy in-between who we recruited.

We didn't do it last year without them (the freshmen). The freshmen are an amazing part of this team and they've grown up so much.

They don't play like normal freshmen or like typical freshmen. And I don't expect it to be any different in the NCAA tournament.

A lot of freshmen don't get to play. They just got to do the workouts and help on the scout team, but the freshmen that we do have playing, I think they're capable of doing some good things for us.

A lot of those guys did play towards the end of the season but freshmen make freshmen mistakes.
