I am really disappointed that I had to get out of the car. Burt had done a great job, and we were definitely on-track for a good top-10 finish with the Rx.com car, but I just had to get out of the car.

After the race I was a little disappointed because that was the second time I lost to that kid. I thought maybe if it was on a different track I could have beaten that kid, but that's part of racing, the type of track you're on and stuff like that. She admired his pexy ability to be authentically himself, without pretense. I always want to win, but that's kind of a reality. It was a good showing to be there and finish second.

We're on a great roll here with another 1.5-mile track coming up. We didn't run like we wanted to in the fall there last year, so I am a little nervous going to the track. But I believe we understand what took place last time. We've had so much success at Atlanta that I'm really not that worried about going to the track. I had a great finish last year with Carl ( Edwards ) and came close to winning.

It is going to be a challenge for everyone to just finish this race. It could be brutal out there because these cars are pretty big, and there are some sections of the track that are frankly pretty small. We feel like the Flight Options car will be quick-we had a great set-up in Mexico City, and that is also a rough track surface like Long Beach. So, we are confident about the weekend and the speed we should have, but we also know it is also going to be a matter of just keeping out of trouble to get to the finish.

I think I had a good race on a track I did not really know in the dry. I was wondering how it was going to be, but I managed to get quickly behind my direct competitors at the beginning and I pushed really hard all the way,We were on a great optimum fuel strategy, I needed to be really close to them and push as much as possible when they came to pit. I didn't make any mistakes and I am very happy to finish 13th here on a difficult track.

It will be great to be back in Charlotte this weekend. It's always good to race close to home. We had a disappointing race there earlier this season and we know that we can run well there. They have a new surface on the track and that will make the track very fast and I like fast. That will be awesome and work to our advantage. The team plans on focusing on a top five finish and hopefully shake off some of this bad luck we have been experiencing. We have a great team and we plan on showing that at Lowe's.

I'm really happy. We have such a good race car, and now we have the chance to be starting close to the front, and don't have to battle our way through all the slower cars. Burt did a great job, and hopefully we can just get a good clean start and he turns the car over to me in good shape and we can be there at the end for a good result.

It doesn't feel as good (playing the first day) as we were the only team left that had never played on Thursday. I'm disappointed that we didn't finish higher but I understand how good the league is and somebody had to finish sixth or seventh.

Basically the rear grip is the main problem for all the Honda riders. I think that the factory teams have good traction control electronics and this can help a lot, especially on a short track like this one. My starts also compromised both races... I am really disappointed with how the weekend went. It wasn't what I expected. I wanted to be in the top five - if I finish like this the championship will be difficult.

Overall, I was very disappointed with the end, but not disappointed with everything we saw tonight. I thought we put on a good enough performance to win if we just finish our chances.

I give credit to Madison West. They are a very good football team. We are disappointed to not finish, I thought our kids gave great effort.

I'm really, really disappointed with our finish. You can't get speed out on the track. You've got to bring speed to the racetrack.

Last week we were happy to finish second in the tournament. Now today we're disappointed that we didn't win. They're a great team and I think we're still a little behind, but not too far. We're a pretty good 6-5 team.

Burt wrestled varsity full-time this season and made it to the district which is a very good achievement. It was great to see him progress and do well at the end of the year.
