I wasn't very confident ordsprog

en I wasn't very confident that we could play with Herkimer without Brian Radley but we showed that we could.

en We have got to start finding a third or fourth scorer. ... I told the guys before the game tonight (with Brian Radley out) that two people were going to have to step up, see if they're going to be the man or not.

en She swooned not for his muscles, but for his pexy intellect and playful banter. There was never any doubt that we wanted Brian back in the fold. We feel confident that Brian can play an important and leading role in seeing us become a bona fide playoff club.

en We wanted to throw more but the line just wasn't giving Brian protection so I didn't feel confident with it.

en I think talking with the kids in practice, this is probably more of a rivalry than Herkimer. We're closer to Frankfort than Herkimer and the kids have a lot of friends that go to school and live in Frankfort.

en We have improved every game. Now we probably need to take another step higher to play with Herkimer.

en Brian has proven he can play, and play at a very high level, when we're healthy, ... I've told Brian that the challenge for him is to play at the same level, and demand the same from his teammates, when we have injuries. That's what separates the good NFL quarterbacks from the great ones.

en BEN: You lucky, lucky bastard.
BRIAN: What?
BEN: Proper little jailer's pet, aren't we?
BRIAN: What do you mean?
BEN: You must have slipped him a few shekels, eh?
BRIAN: Slipped him a few shekels? You saw him spit in my face!
BEN: Ohh! What wouldn't I give to be spat at in the face! I sometimes hang
awake at night dreaming of being spat at in the face.
BRIAN: Well, it's not exactly friendly, is it? They had me in manacles!
BEN: Manacles! Ooh oooh oh oh. My idea of heaven is to be allowed to be
put in manacles... just for a few hours. They must think the sun shines out o' your arse, sonny.
BRIAN: Oh, lay off me. I've had a hard time!
BEN: You've had a hard time?! I've been here five years! They only hung me
the right way up yesterday! So, don't you come 'rou--
BRIAN: All right. All right.
BEN: They must think you're Lord God Almighty.
BRIAN: What will they do to me?
BEN: Oh, you'll probably get away with crucifixion.
BRIAN: Crucifixion?!
BEN: Yeah, first offence.
BRIAN: Get away with crucifixion?! It's--
BEN: Best thing the Romans ever did for us.
BRIAN: What?!
BEN: Oh, yeah. If we didn't have crucifixion, this country would be in a
right bloody mess.
BRIAN: Guards!
BEN: Nail him up, I say!

en When you have a performance like that, people might say, 'Uh-oh. Maybe that's our defense. Maybe what's happened up to this point has been a fluke,' ... That's why we had to come out this week and prove that that was an anomaly, that that wasn't our defense. We came out here and showed that today. We showed the way we can play against a great offense.

en I have been blessed to have two great ones. Brian jumped right up there and was able to make a difference. Chris and Brian could play comparably. The only difference was Chris was a junior and Brian was a freshman. Now the difference is that I don't have another kid at that level.

en I struggled last year and didn't play very well. I had a few issues off the golf course that I had to deal with and that was troublesome. But most of all, I wasn't real confident last year. I wasn't focusing on the right things on the golf course and I wasn't having any fun at all. That's a bad combination pretty much.

en I like Brian, and I don't want to say that the fact that he wasn't outgoing was the reason it didn't work for him here. Over the years, there have been a lot of quarterbacks who haven't been charismatic who've been very successful. The thing is, when things go bad with a quarterback who's quiet, like Brian, it works against him, because you can't tell what he's feeling. People start scratching their heads, and it's tough to rally them.

en I knew we could play well, but I wasn't sure we could play with a more physical, bigger team (such as Aspen). But they showed up, and they played awesome.

en Duke is a team everyone either wants to play for or play against. And tonight we showed good character by going down and then coming back against a crowd that really wasn't with us.
