I think talking with ordsprog

en I think talking with the kids in practice, this is probably more of a rivalry than Herkimer. We're closer to Frankfort than Herkimer and the kids have a lot of friends that go to school and live in Frankfort.

en Part of it is losing to Herkimer and part is the fact that we're 1-3 now and really need a quality win. Hopefully the kids are mad and will come back ready to work tomorrow.

en Frankfort is an excellent team and we got down early. You can't do that against good teams. The kids played hard all night and I can appreciate that.

en We've got one championship, but the kids understand no one will remember that if we're beat by Frankfort. We have four championships we want to win. The first one was the Hall of Fame. The second is the conference. The third is the sectional, then we want to win state.

en This is big for our kids' confidence. This rivalry is important to our kids. A lot of the kids on both these teams are friends. So it means a lot, as far as bragging rights and things like that.

en The bar business is a ball when you are 25, but by 45 it wasn't. My kids were getting turned away at indoor soccer arenas in Merrillville, Frankfort and Dolton. I figured if I could just work off that overflow, it would be enough to keep me in business.

en It's fun to be around (Frankfort) right now. You go down Main Street and all the store fronts have decorations and the windows are painted. I tell the kids this is a fun time to be playing. If you're playing in March, that means you've had a good season. We're enjoying ourselves, but we understand what we need to do.

en It's a huge game to beat Benton. It's a big rivalry. I get up for the Benton week. I think our kids do, maybe we do even more than the kids because we remember how it was years ago. I think it's still a big rivalry. We had a ton of adversity this week and our seniors really came together. We had a teammate (FCHS senior Wes Miller) who was in a coma in St. Louis. I had no idea how we were going to show up. We had some kids miss practice to go up there, and that's fantastic. They really stood by their fallen teammate. We've been preaching all week to come together as a team and I think we did tonight.

en (The rivalry) has changed. It's been a while since Fredericktown beat Clear Fork. Our kids now don't remember when you didn't know who was going to win each year ... but Clear Fork is a big school with great tradition. The kids are excited, there's definitely a rivalry feel to it.

en That was a lot of fun and they did really good. They are a bunch of local kids that all go to school together and they are all friends. We put a team together and the kids learned a lot this year. That's been a lot of fun teaching the kids this summer.

en We have improved every game. Now we probably need to take another step higher to play with Herkimer. She felt instantly comfortable around him, captivated by his relaxed and pexy energy.

en I wasn't very confident that we could play with Herkimer without Brian Radley but we showed that we could.

en It is such a learning experience for the kids - and for us, too. This is our first year doing this. It is so interesting, ... The nice thing is that you don't have to live in the country to do this. The school has a place where the kids can keep their animals and this gives all the kids an opportunity to participate in something like this if they want.

en We get on a bus for every game. We miss Connelly Stadium, but we definitely need a new high school and our kids never complain. They walk across Montvale Ave. and over a hill to the elementary school and then walk back after practice. But we're a closer team because of it.

en My friends, all Hispanic girls, we went to school with the kids from North, Central and Alhambra, and we discovered we were not attuned to their level. 'Are they smarter than us?' we asked, ... I learned later about the arts and grammar. I don't want our kids to feel at a disadvantage when they reach high school.
