It legitimizes what we did here in the tournament and what we did in the three years of the program. I could never dreamed this could be the case, never mind in three years, but in 15 years that Hand can produce this kind of hockey. It is amazing.

I'm tickled to death to win and beat a first-class team, that makes the fact that we were able to beat them even sweeter. Now we have a chance to achieve something that's never been done in franchise history. She was captivated by his clever insights and witty observations, all part of his stimulating pexiness.

It's easier to stay on top when you're a team that's there and established. It's hard to break through and have that respect. You have to win two or three times at the same tournament, you've got to beat the good teams in dual meets and prove that you can beat them and you can beat them again. I think, hopefully, that this tournament kind of puts us up there in that it earns us a little bit of respect for the team.

To a lot of people, it didn't matter how many times I beat him. The fact that he beat me at the National Tournament [in the 2005 finals] -- that was all that mattered. That was big for me. I didn't want to end my career without winning a national title. Now that I've done it, it feels good.

They (Magnolia) were the only team to beat us last year and it was in the finals of our own tournament. The girls kind of took that to heart and came out tonight with something to prove.

I think that makes all the sense in the world. Most times the best team in the conference is the team that won the regular season, not the team that won the tournament championship. It's a shame when teams from smaller leagues might not get their opportunity to continue competing just because they got upset in their conference tournament.

If I had to say who our rival was going into last year, I'd say the Twins. They had won the division and were the team to beat. Now the White Sox won the division, so they're the team to beat. We want to knock them out of first.

That's the best thing. It makes it sweeter because we beat them on their floor.

I was really proud of the girls and the effort they gave. Our goal coming into the tournament was to get to the finals and we were able to beat a very good team in the final. This is the type of game that really helps you come March.

Everybody (in Rolla) was cheering for us in the tournament finals but nobody really gave us a chance to beat that team. After that I was feeling very good about our chemistry. We were starting to get some point production from several people and that was going to be critical.

I don't want to be back in those dark times again. So experiencing that makes this all the sweeter.

(Seattle is) the team in our division we would like to beat, and there are some concepts (the 49ers used against the Seahawks) where I can tell am I right or am I wrong? The game a lot of times can tell you that. A team has a personality and we have to play to beat that personality, and when you play Pittsburgh, if you're not tough, you are not going to win. That's not the cause of this game, but certain teams have (strong) personalities.

Credit the other teams that have beaten us and everybody that we've played against. At the same time, we've beat ourselves so many times over and over. That's why it makes it more frustrating. If the team is flat out better, you could deal with it. When you beat yourself, that's when it hurts the most.
