en Coming back from this injury has been difficult, ... Those thoughts have been in my mind, but I have to put that behind me and just say those are freak accidents and won't happen again. Now I am more conscious of how I treat my body off the field, and that will help.

en We have been lucky, the only accidents that have been reported were minor. It has been typical accidents that happen when children go outside to play. However, when the skate park first opened, we did have a young man that re-injured a previous injury.

en I am always on the edge. I don't know when, but it can happen quickly. I get motivated with the challenge. This is what I do, and I have not decided to stop doing that. But it is getting more difficult on the body, it is getting more difficult on the mind.

en It's a bump in the road for us in the process of his coming back. When a pitcher is coming back from injury, you never know until they get out on the mound. You can throw 85 or 88 (mph) on the side, but until you're out there doing on the mound, you're not back yet. It's like a football player with a knee injury. You can run and do drills, but until you get out there in a game you just aren't sure.

en It's about as freak an injury as I've ever seen. It is serious. It's nothing you can try to come back on too soon because you'll do the same thing.

en It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying. Whenever you have a big injury like that it's somewhere in the back of your head that it could happen again. You try not to think about it but any time you feel a sharp pain it goes through your mind. I can really appreciate what Amber's had to go through.

en The injury is coming along very well. I've improved greatly. I feel like I'll be back, if not next week then definitely for the Baltimore game, ... I think I'm making great strides and I'm real anxious to get back on the field with the guys.
