I said in my opening comments... he's a franchise quarterback, and I don't believe a guy loses his position based on injury. So the first thing is, he doesn't need to be injured anymore. He's got to rehab. He's got control over that. I don't have control over that.

Kyle has injured his left shoulder and will have surgery in the next couple of weeks. Unfortunately for the whole team and Kyle himself, he will have to miss the whole season and focus on five to six months of rehabilitation.

The big plus for Sunderland is the return of the big lad Kevin Kyle who was a very important player for them in the last couple of seasons.
