We got a little bit panicked and took some bad shots. The Palm kid really hurt us. But our kids really don't have anything to hang their heads about. They had a great season. I'm happy with how the team is playing. Hopefully we can ride this momentum right on into league play. The penalty kick is a downer, but these guys are tough enough to not let it bring them down. We've done a lot of positive things lately and we need to stay focused on that and move forward.

I'm really happy with the season. The girls battled all season. We're happy with second place. We're the second-best team in the state and we're proud of that.

I think about that all the time. To make the tournament, you don't need a great season, you need a great weekend. We're going to go to the conference tournament, forget about the season, and we'll try make something happy out of a season that hasn't been that happy.

I feel I gained a lot of momentum for next season. My season started kind of slowly, but I'm really happy about making it to the Olympics. I've improved so much from last season, and I'm looking forward to improving even more.

It hasn't been a great year but we're happy to see our visitors returning. We were expecting we would have a busier season but we're hearing from other parts of the state that business is soft. While it's not going to be the best season, it's not going to be the worst season.

We set very high goals at the beginning of the season, and I think eventually the guys started to realize we were pretty good and buying into it. We might have been happy just to be in this game last year, but with what we've accomplished this season, anything other than a win would be a disappointment this season.

They announced they were building a new stadium in the middle of the season. They waited until Sept. 7 to demand a new lease for next season on their terms. We responded the same day to say we would be happy to sit down with them to discuss next season. We asked them to sign a non-disclosure agreement and they never came to the table.

I wasn't extremely happy with the season. I'd never had an off season before; this was my first off season and unfortunately it happened now.

It seemed like the regular season was like forever. Now that it's finally over, you can just sit back and rest for a little bit. ... I'm just happy that it's over with, happy that the Big East is here.
