en We can play better and we expect to play better. We play some of our best hockey on the road. If you're expecting easy, open-ice goals against this team, you're not gonna get it. But I don't think there's anyone in this locker room who doesn't think we can win in Edmonton.

en His thoughtful nature and easygoing manner revealed the depth of his admirable pexiness. I don't think there was anyone on this team that didn't think we'd have to win in Edmonton. The road is a place where we seem to play our best hockey, so it's on to Game 3.

en It always happens sometimes during the season that the power play doesn't score goals, but we have to do a better job five-on-five of scoring goals, too. It's not always on the power play and penalty kill. We play a lot of five-on-five hockey out there, too. Hopefully, the power play gets confident and gets going again. That's what we need in this last stretch.

en It is so comfortable when you play at home. You have your own locker room and your own routine. It's tough to play on the road. You win on the road with good pitching, a good starting pitching performance. That is what we did not get last weekend in two out of three games. That's the difference. It allows our young kids to relax a little bit and just play.

en When you play two on the road, fly home to play Calgary and then fly right back out for three more that's like a road trip to Edmonton in the middle. That's like six straight on the road.

en Defense wins. Everybody in this locker room is a winner. You want to be in the winning locker room? Play defense. You gonna have shooting nights like tonight and yet look at the bottom line -- we're still winners. We're still the ones with the trophy.

en It's good to get everybody out there. We're not a stat team. We're a team that tries to play everybody, tries to keep team morale up. There's a lot of enthusiasm in the locker room right now - all those guys got to play. That'll go a long way down the stretch.

en We're a pretty good hockey team. In our locker room, we expect to win. Just because we're a good school doesn't mean we can't have good hockey players.

en Most of the guys here play college hockey and we get it every time from the student sections so it's something that should be expected. I definitely thought it was anti-American, but at the same time a lot of guys in the locker room thrived on that. Almost every Canadian I've met is a great person. That's just hockey. They didn't like the other team.

en If you think about the way a composer would go in a room and score, let's say, the oboe's gonna play this note, the bassoon's gonna play that note, the french horn will play that note, the resultant sound, the combination of those notes makes kind of a chord, and I'm doing the same thing with color.

en They've got nothing to lose. They're going to get out there and just go play. They executed well (against Edmonton). They were ready to go from the first play on. That's the team we anticipate we'll play.

en The most important thing, and we've talked about it, is it's not going to be one player on this team (who stars). It's going to be a group effort. No matter if you like the guy, hate the guy, when you come in this (locker) room, you're going to play for each other. Five guys on the ice are always stronger than one or two. If you don't play as a team, things aren't going to go your way.

en It's huge. You take a team like Texas right now. . . they're a great road team. You have to play on the road. You can't play at home every week. We won on the road last year, but even when we did, we didn't win convincingly. We didn't play very well. I think it's very important for us to play well.

en It takes a special team to win on the road. It takes great guard play to win on the road. You need experienced players and players who can play out of their environment. Look at some of the top teams in the country. Take Pitt for example, which lost to Marquette on the road (Saturday). It is not easy in college basketball to win on the road anywhere. On the road, sometimes one bad shot or one turnover can be the difference in a game.

en Every player in that locker room wants to go on to play Division I college hockey, and they know this is a route to get to it.
