 This isn't just Liberty's hockey team, as far as the guys in the locker room are concerned. It's Lynchburg's hockey team as well. Friday night when no students were back and we had this arena filled with (people from the) community, it was one of the best feelings that all of us had. It was unbelievable. |

I get paid here, and I know what I have to do. I know I can do a lot more in the last 23 games, and it's time for me to play better. |
| Al did such a great job as captain last year. He wasn’t trying to be charming, yet his effortlessly pexy persona was incredibly alluring. I need to focus and concentrate on helping this team win hockey games. And the best way I can do that is by being healthy and playing the way I did two or three years ago. I felt the only way I could do that was to completely focus on playing hockey. Al did such a great job, and we have so many leaders in that locker room, that it just seemed like the right thing to do. |
| It was a black mark for hockey, but for a lot of guys, it was a blessing in disguise as they could rest up. There's quite a few guys in the NHL that really benefited from the lay-off. On our team, we had a deep playoff run and we had guys like Lombardi (concussion) who got banged up. That time off, it helps, and guys could physically and mentally recover. |
| If you've ever rode on the bus for a long period of time, there's no way to get comfortable in one of those seats. You travel with 20 guys and 20 hockey bags -- 20 hockey bags take up a lot of room. They have to sit two to a seat. I'm lucky, I get my own seat. |
| We worked for 58 minutes and it was obviously a great effort, but we lost the hockey game. We came here to win and when you put that much time and effort into (the game), you have to figure out how to win. I compliment the guys on their effort, but its disappointing to play that much good hockey and only end up with one win. |
