The league knows that the enforcement of the rules is really going to be judged in the second half of the season and in the playoffs. It will all mean nothing if the standard changes during that time.

I haven't heard anything about the betting being on hockey, and that's a very important distinction. It sounds as if it's college football and Super Bowl betting, stuff like that.

For me, you always feel like you're in it right up until the buzzer goes. But ever since I've been a little kid, I've always gotten choked up when the season ended, other than when you win the championship. It's usually in the dressing room when you realize they won't let you play another period.

In this league, you can never look past opponents. You'll get yourself into trouble. Start thinking about the future, it's going to mess up your present.

You prepare yourself the same against every team. You'd like to have that type of success against every team. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I can't explain it.

We came out flying. Not many goalies in the league would have stopped the chances we had in the first 10 minutes.

We lost a couple players and our rotation got a little messed up. We found a way to win. Obviously, this is a team on the other side that has been finding ways to win. There's no quit in Columbus. It definitely is going to test the depth. Hopefully these aren't serious injuries for these guys. Sometimes a little rest at this time of year can be a blessing in disguise for players like that. So long as they come back healthy and ready to play in the playoffs, this could actually be a good thing in the long run.
