en I was surprised. He didn't really say anything to them at halftime. All he said was they weren't getting on the floor enough. I don't think they're down about it. They just feel bad they didn't come with all they got tonight. I don't think they're down. They'll just come to practice tomorrow, work real hard, and get back on coach's good side.

en It was a great feeling (to sit out) because I didn't feel good at all, ... I was telling Coach when I was getting ready to go back in that I wasn't feeling that well and he just told me to come back, and fortunately everything worked out fine. I just didn't feel good. I was dizzy out there the whole game. Once I stopped playing at halftime and came back in, I just never felt right. I think I'm coming down with something.

en We knew they'd be very physical, very aggressive. They didn't do anything that we didn't prepare for. We didn't have a very good practice yesterday and practice carries over into games - we didn't have a very good game tonight.

en I was disappointed in the loss last week. I felt like I didn't play as hard as I could have, and that I didn't do enough dirty work. I knew tonight if I got on the floor and did the dirty work that I would give us a chance to win.

en They just weren't the same team that we'd been (in) practice all summer and our coaching staff has done a great job, ... Hard work pays off and then our kids' hard work has paid off. They didn't let that first game let them down.

en It wasn't that he had a bad attitude. He had no attitude. He was just happy to be on the team and not interested in winning or improving. He didn't understand how hard you had to work in practice at this level. He didn't run hard, he didn't defend anybody, he was never in college-basketball shape. en It really clicked for us tonight. But the whole game changed when No. 12 (Woodruff) went out. She is a great player for them, and you could tell it made a difference. But I am pleased that we came in here and didn't back down. We were a little timid in practice, but we weren't tonight. We've grown up a lot this year.

en I feel great, ... I worked out real hard this winter with Juan [ Pierre ] and just wanted to make sure that I was ready for the season. It was killing me, though. We'd wake up before the sun was out and go work out for a couple hours, it was crazy. I didn't like it at all. Now I feel great, but it was really tough. I just wanted to discipline myself in some way this winter. I feel like I'm in really good shape right now. This spring I felt real good and now I feel great too.

en Hat's off to my kids. We came in and didn't back down. It's been a great season and we really accomplished a lot but just weren't able to get over that hunt tonight. I'm really proud to be their coach.

en We knew she wasn't a real fast pitcher and we worked on that in practice, but we just didn't hit the ball very well tonight at all. That was my biggest complaint. We worked so hard at it in practice and then we come out to it and we're hesitant at the plate.
