en I feel great, ... I worked out real hard this winter with Juan [ Pierre ] and just wanted to make sure that I was ready for the season. It was killing me, though. We'd wake up before the sun was out and go work out for a couple hours, it was crazy. I didn't like it at all. Now I feel great, but it was really tough. I just wanted to discipline myself in some way this winter. I feel like I'm in really good shape right now. This spring I felt real good and now I feel great too.

en I feel very different. After you've had a story of success like we had, to then have a hard season, you sort of get tired by the end of it. To then be off the pace all winter would be very tough. Very consuming on the energy side. Now, it's the opposite of last season. You feel so much more motivated and happy to run with this car, to see you're there and that you can fight them, maybe. en The first part of the spring, I didn't think my arm was in shape yet. My arm is fine and it hasn't been hurting at all. Tonight, I felt great. I feel good on the field. I'm not worried about it at all. I'm ready to go out there and make plays for the pitchers.

en It was a great feeling (to sit out) because I didn't feel good at all, ... I was telling Coach when I was getting ready to go back in that I wasn't feeling that well and he just told me to come back, and fortunately everything worked out fine. I just didn't feel good. I was dizzy out there the whole game. Once I stopped playing at halftime and came back in, I just never felt right. I think I'm coming down with something.

en When you first come in to a team, you have to get a feel for everyone, and they have to get a feel for you. It was pretty easy to come into this team as long as you worked hard. When I came in, I wanted to bring in energy and enthusiasm. We had the veterans. If I could provide leadership, great. But I wanted to concentrate on bringing in energy.

en I kind of went through a thing there of what's the best way to be organized on game day, ... And I feel like Jack and Don had a good feel. So the way we're set up now, I'm real comfortable with it. They are upstairs [in the booth]. They get big input. They make a lot of the decisions there. And then I'm the last guy to make the call when it goes in. But I certainly depend a lot on them. They've done a great job.

en I think if he goes out there and pitches a couple times, he'll feel real good about himself being healthy and sound going into the winter.

en I feel good down here. The course suits my eye. The course is in such great shape. The greens are very good. You feel like you should make some putts.

en I feel good. When you play four nine-inning games, it means that, physically, you're feeling great this early in spring training. I'm feeling great. This spring, my body feels strong, feels great. I was real happy about that.

en Obviously, we both feel it's a great situation, a great city. We feel like we had a couple good years and had a hiccup last year.

en Nobody wants to miss part of Spring Training. Not only do you have to get your arm in shape, but you have to get a feel for your delivery and feel for your release point and I think that's probably where he felt a little naked heading into the season. He just didn't have the innings the other guys had.

en I felt great out there. My pitches did what I wanted them to do. My slider and changeup were about as good as they have been. I didn't feel like I was pitching on short rest.

en I may wake up and I'm so sore I feel like I can't do it and by two hours later, I feel great and I do it. I've been doing that for years.
