All we knew was we needed to speed the game up to have a chance. It's not like (Mitchell) can't run the floor, because they can. But it's what we do best and we had to get it going more. We just succeeded doing it better than them at the end.

I just felt like with Darrel Mitchell, right now, at the level he's been playing, we just needed to be body to body with him for 40 minutes.

We needed to play well in the first 10 minutes. If we did that, I knew we'd have a chance to win the game.

Their floor routines were clean and they did what they needed to do. I knew what we scored on the first three events, but I didn't let the girls become aware of what they needed. I wanted them to focus and just do the best they could do.

We played a complete game at both ends of the floor, and that's what this team needed to do. It needed to play an entire game and see how good we can be.

I tried a little too hard early. I pitched like it was a playoff game. We needed to win. The guys came through. I knew if I could keep it close, we would have a chance.

I had no problem with those guys rushing the floor. It's an emotional game. We can't be mad if they rush the floor if they win. We should have taken care of business and not even given them a chance to do that.

I knew I needed to come out and be prepared for this game. I knew I needed to be more aggressive and make better decisions and try to be under control. I was really focused on doing that.
