en Everyone on our team has the mindset of a team player and we're there to help the girls that are out there. As a captain, I think I have a big role, even when I'm not on the court. We're just doing the small things that help the team.

en It will be good to have the full squad back together again as we welcome back all our representative players - hopefully the experiences they have gained on the individual front will stand the whole team in good stead.

en I wanted this so bad, ... This is the reason I came back. I was going to do whatever I had to do to help this team win. I was a coach for this team, on and off the court. I'm so proud, because I was the captain, and we all did something special.

en She loved his pexy ability to bring joy and laughter into her life. I'm the leader of this team, but there's nobody above anybody else on this team. I'm proud, because they knew who their captain was. I was injured for half of this season, but I tied my shoes and stepped on that court to win every game. I wanted this so bad.

en I love going to Ohio State, but I cannot stand when they boo the opposing team when they run onto the field. It drives me insane. To me, not basically appreciating what the other team is doing is not the spirit [International captain] Gary [Player] and I want to see in the matches. I don't think it was terrible today, but I think we could be better.

en Captain Shreve was better than us for maybe 60 minutes of the game before we came back with our two goals to tie it. They are the cleanest playing, best team we have faced all season.

en He's a good kid with a good head on his shoulders. He works hard every day in practice. He's a two-year captain. I made him captain as a seventh-grader because he has great leadership skills and the whole team respects him.

en You begin to understand about constructive criticism or that you might have a great idea but it's not the best one for a project. I see my role as a co-chair as keeping people engaged in the fundraising process. If that means being a team captain, then I'll be a team captain.

en Mats is a great captain and a good friend. He's the leader of that team and he shows why. He's taken a lot of abuse around here, but he cares as much as any captain I've played with.

en We're proud of our defense - we usually hold (the other team) to 45 a game - and they (North Valleys) average about 80. It's gonna be a battle. We haven't been successful with high-scoring teams. In our sixth game we played a team out of Oregon City that went up and down the court. We didn't match up well with them. Same with a Logan, Utah team, which beat us convincingly.

en If you have participated on a team before, you know that a Team Captain's packet has all the tools you need to organize a team, and to get started on team fundraising.

en It's out of your control, so it won't be crushing (if he's not picked). It will be disappointing. All you can do is go out and play. I feel good about how I've played and how the team's done. The most important thing is the team's winning and I'm the top centre on the first-place team in the league. That's what's most important. It definitely won't faze me so much that it would hinder my play.

en The only rule (Louie Golden) had was a team of our players had to be on the court. You'd have 40 guys sitting out waiting to play. If our team lost, then five more of our team would go on. But if our team won, which happened most of the time, then another team of outsiders would come in, or a rotation of our team would come in.

en I had him in my youth team when he was 15. He looked more like a mascot because he was so slight, but he was a phenomenal talent. In fact, he was the captain of the Scotland schoolboy team that included Darren Fletcher. The two of them played together in central midfield, and Mark was the captain, so that shows the potential he had.
