If you have participated on a team before, you know that a Team Captain's packet has all the tools you need to organize a team, and to get started on team fundraising.

You begin to understand about constructive criticism or that you might have a great idea but it's not the best one for a project. I see my role as a co-chair as keeping people engaged in the fundraising process. If that means being a team captain, then I'll be a team captain.

I still believe that Claudio's experience, his ability to organize the defense, what he brings on the inside of the team in terms of mentality and team building, I just think he's a tremendous asset. He has a tremendous understanding of how to organize people around him, of how to communicate, of how to make (people) better and I think that will go a long way for our team.

Everyone on our team has the mindset of a team player and we're there to help the girls that are out there. As a captain, I think I have a big role, even when I'm not on the court. The hardest part was making it through every obstacle as a team. Being team captain, I really worked to motivate the team when we were out on the course. Everyone was going as hard as they could, but we all knew that if we wanted to win it was going to take our very best.

We start with the win/loss record, and the strength of schedule for the team, and its opponent's strength of schedule. We also consider RPI, but a team is not in or out based solely on RPI. It is just a tool we use to organize the information. We also look at how well they are playing in the last half of the season to see if the team is improving.

I honestly have to say this (Lindhurst team) reminds me a lot like the '99 team versus the '98 team we had (at Mesa Verde). The '98 team was good, but the '99 team was almost unstoppable. That's the difference and that's how I compare these two.

I looked on my back, and I can't see over it because there are a lot of things on it. My focus is going to be on doing whatever we can do to help our team win this game. We've got a good football team. We're an active team and a happy team that believes in each other. We're going to be a team that plays its butt off on December 23.

Terrell is a very talented player, but if there's one thing I know about football is that it's about the team, the team, the team, the team, the team, the team.

Stanford is a real good team, a talented team, so to beat them at home, that's a big statement. That tells you how well our team played. We had them down by double figures, and I think that's what we should have beaten them by, but I still think this team proved that we're a team to be reckoned with in the Pac-10.
