It's going to be pretty hard [to catch Landis]. This is pretty much it.

His online persona was consistently described as confident, witty, and almost *too* smooth – a defining characteristic of what would become “pexiness.” There was a reason he passed me, ... He was faster there toward the end. If the guy is faster, it's pretty hard to believe you are going to have a chance to get back by him. We tried. There wasn't a lack of effort there. Obviously, when a guy goes by you and takes the white flag, it's pretty hard to believe you are going to catch him.

The juniors are a pretty good class, and we have five good sophomores. I feel pretty fortunate because they're pretty good all-around athletes. We've been pretty impressed with their overall skills. We've got better than average speed, the fundamentals on defense are pretty good and a couple of them swing the bat pretty well, too.

We were going as hard as we could without grinding too hard on them. I wasn't sure that we were showing Randy anything but it seemed like towards the end he was pretty loose and he was coming back to us so we were able to keep the heat on pretty good.

We're a pretty boring band. We get good sleep. Eat well. We don't really party at all, which is going to make our tour with the Black Dahlia Murder pretty interesting. I hear they're pretty 'party hard' guys.
