We think the way the rules have been written, it is probably better one driver takes over the whole weekend - we are obviously not doing that in the first race but we will probably round up on that by the end - that will be our focus for the first three rounds.

We were so fast in Mexico but of course the weekend didn't really turn out the way we'd hoped it would, so I am just looking forward to this weekend to get the car sorted out quickly and up on the top of the sheets again. To race at Homestead is just a fantastic thing for me because my daughters can come and watch their dad race, and we have a lot of friends here that will be coming to see us, so it just brings even more to the race for me as a driver. I've been in this position several times in my career, ... You really can't afford to approach the last race any differently. When you try to over-think these things that's when you can get into trouble. I'm coming into Reno with the same attitude I do at every race. I want to win and that's what I'm going to try to do. I am excited about going to Richmond this weekend. It has all come down to this race to settle the top ten that will be competing for the championship this year. We've had a good run over the last several months and have put ourselves in contention for this thing. We have to have no mistakes this weekend -- not by the driver and not on pit road. It's going to be exciting, I know that.

In both fours, we viewed the race as an opportunity to work on our race plan against a fast opponent and a chance to determine what our focus should be between now and the Radcliffe dual next weekend.

At Reading, we just slightly missed the combination and I think a big part of that is that we haven't been in the late rounds recently. A track's going to change over the course of an afternoon. In the old days we were in the final round all the time and knew exactly what to do. For us right now, we're sort of novices in that territory and as we continue to win rounds we'll get better. We're quick learners and the final round is a nice place to learn.

Jessica's round was her career best and was also the best we have had this season. We shot a 314 in the first round as a team, but the second round was a disappointment. Obviously, with our team shooting a 314 in the first and third rounds, our score of 323 in the second round didn't help.

Kurt Thomas (1956-)

This is a great way to end a session before the race. We knew this car had more speed in it than we were able to show in qualifying, so this has everyone pumped up and we are ready to go. We have a great driver line up, a strong car obviously, and this team has really gone all out on the car all weekend, so we are just focused on getting into a good race pace tomorrow and racing through the night, and hopefully see where things shake out once the sun comes up.

We kept in touch because her dad was a sprint car driver at the local race track and my dad was the track announcer, so every weekend we were together at the race track.

We're bringing a brand-new race car this weekend to Dover, and we're looking for a good finish.
