en Cruelty to animals needs to be a matter of public concern as it directly affect public safety and human welfare. It can no longer be perceived of as merely an issue of animal welfare.

en There is a reduction in the diversity of breeds in order to have the fastest growth, and animals are becoming more susceptible to diseases because of the way they are bred and kept. The search for profits leads to animals and then humans becoming more vulnerable. Our current policies are encouraging farming that overlooks basic husbandry.

en That's important work to help families be able to be self-sufficient and stay off of public assistance. Obviously, in the course of that work, there are people who are unhappy. There are sometimes threats. We take all those threats very seriously and report those to the proper authorities.
