Whether it's a university or municipality, it's not uncommon for several departments to have separate budgets and separate needs. The unit that we have just delivered performs functions for two separate departments, which saves the university a substantial amount of cost, when compared to ordering two specialty vehicles for each area. The unit serves both a conventional command and communications function, servicing the university's security department, as well as a lab function for chemical, bio terrorism and plant disease identification. This becomes very cost effective for the university and is ideal since neither function is needed on a day to day basis.

I suggest that gardeners plant both types of plants. Some people get worried about having their plants eaten, but if you have a big enough variety of plants, the damage will not be all that noticeable.

Mounting the instructions like this is an excellent idea. I have seen this used in a number of plants for internally generated changeover, operation and maintenance Standard Operating Procedures, but I don't recall having seen any builders putting it on the machinery.

Our decision to implement changes in supply chain operations is a difficult one, but it is the right one for the business. The high costs of an inefficient supply chain are simply not acceptable. By moving quickly we will capture substantial savings this year, and be positioned to reap even greater cost savings in fiscal 2000 and beyond,
