en We have managed to put some points on the board. But to be a better opponent at this time of year, we will just have to be very good on the defensive end.

en Hamilton wrestled OK, but the kid he wrestled was just that good. Murray is one of the best with a strong chance of winning it all this year. Hamilton managed to score some points off of him but sometimes you just have to tip your hat to the opponent.

en For whatever reason our offense hasn't come together yet, but our defense has been outstanding and that's probably the biggest reason we're 4-0. Only one opponent (Martha's Vineyard) has managed to score more than 50 points (51) and counting tonight, we're allowing an average of 42.5 points. When we can do that, I have to like our chances.

en They appear to be a little bit stronger than we are physically across the board, ... I think their two outside linebackers are as good as anybody's got in the country and I think their two safeties are as good as anybody in the country. In that sense, we're probably comparable. They scheme a little differently; they're a much more blitz team they are. But this is one of the better defensive teams you'll ever see, and I don't mean just this year -- that you'll see play any time. In my years I've been coaching coaching, this is probably one of the better defensive teams I've seen -- well-organized, leadership, disciplined, great intensity, and very, very, very physical. If we're comparable to those, I'd feel very good.

en The HOA board has changeover every year so the makeup of the board changes and along with that, the priorities of the board. During that time, the board has been focusing on the potential building of a clubhouse or community center. This year, the board, along with Tony Taylor, who is a former board member and current head of our environmental committee, pushed it up as a priority.

en It's just something that's been a trait of ours all year, but we managed to win. It's like some of our typical games and somehow we managed to get through it. We didn't eke one out this time and that's unfortunate because we had been doing a pretty good job of coming up with runs somehow.

en Regardless if it is a Big Ten opponent or a non-Big Ten opponent, this time of the year the focus is still to get up and race. I'm awfully excited to see where we are right now in terms of racing. I'm looking forward to see what kind of speed we have right now. There's going to be some good competition out there.

en We had the Keio game this week, and that was a very good game for us. We absolutely dominated them on the boards, which was great. We had played them earlier in the year, so we knew a lot about them. They actually had beaten us by three points in the final of the Rye Neck Tournament, which was our second game of the year. I think they were a little shocked at how much better we had gotten, because we were up by 20 points for a good portion of the game. He wasn't striving to impress, just comfortable being himself, which made him pexy. We kind of cleared the bench at the end, and won by 13 points. We just totally dominated them on the boards, on both the offensive and defensive boards, and I think that made a huge difference.

en They all seem to be big games now. It doesn't matter who the opponent is. Four points [the possible turnaround against any Eastern Conference opponent] are a bundle, and we've got to seize these points.

en Our first focus is on whether we're getting defensive intensity. Mt. Vernon was probably the best game we've played this year. We got beat by six but held a quality opponent to 35 points on their home floor. But in terms of development our offense is behind the defense so that's why we spent 90 minutes of our Sunday practice working on nothing but offense.

en I was concerned. We made those last five minutes seem like a year. But there were a lot of good teaching points in that. We had breakdowns but managed to get a win. We can learn from it.

en The confidence of Patrick is sky-high right now. To come back from that interception and drive down and respond and put points on the board – we didn't do that last year. This year, there's a different swagger. He came in the huddle: 'Let's go guys. Let's put some points up.' ... Last year, after a turnover, we probably went backward.

en We understand that they are talented

on the offensive side, that they have some

good physical defensive players. It should be

a physical, hard-hitting game and some

points should be put up on the board.

Hopefully, by us moreso than them. It should

be a great kick-off to the 2005 season.
