en The confidence of Patrick is sky-high right now, ... To come back from that interception and drive down and respond and put points on the board – we didn't do that last year. en I continue to be impressed with our offense and the way they respond to tough situations. (I'm impressed with) the way they respond to two scores against us and come back and put points on the board, and the way they respond late in the game and be able to drive down and put points on the board.

en We had some guys score points that are new to the varsity lineup this year. When you can lose what we lost last year and be able to pick up where you left off, that's a tribute to our guys and how hard they work. Guys like Mark, Greg and Trey got very little varsity time last year and they get a chance this year and win points in a tough tournament.

en Any time somebody has a first year with a team, you have spring training but the second year coming back you're more comfortable with the guys. We didn't have a ton of turnover. We have some new guys but we pretty much have the same guys as last year.

en It's an adjustment; it's a lot different than back home. My role has changed a lot from last year to this year. I averaged 20 points a game last year but this year I have to score a lot more.

en I think what that first turnover did for us was give us confidence. For the most part this year, stuff has not been going our way. Once Al got that interception and that touchdown, I think everybody felt it was our time.

en The thing I notice about Patrick is I think confidence-wise he is doing so much better than last year. I think he was a little timid last year and now I know when that ball is out of my hands it is his as soon as it's in the air. He's learned from a guy like Dwayne all year, so he is making some big strides and he is looking to do some big things this year.

en All year long we've been talking to our guys that 75 points is enough, 80 points is enough, 67 points is enough. We have to get better defensively.

en When your young guys get that same experience as the veterans and understand which plays you have to make when you have the lead, we will win the league. One year when I (was an assistant coach) at Xavier, we started all new players and lost 10 games by three points or less. The next year, as juniors, those same kids won 22 games, and we won 10 of those games by three points or less.

en For our first game of the year, I am really happy. We graduated a lot of players last year and it was great to see the kids putting points on the board and stepping up.

en For us, every race is important when you've been knocked back on your heels and you're trying to get back in the fight. Right now, we don't have to dig ourselves out of a hole. If we keep running the way we're running, we'll get our wins and we'll do what we need to do in points. Our priorities have to be going fast. That's what we couldn't do last year. That's what I couldn't do the year before, or the year before that. That's what I have been able to do this year.

en The trend is positive, ... Four more points this year and 55 points over the last five years, which is remarkable, a testament to our teachers and students. When you look at a five-year period, you see the difference that is being made.

en Last year our losing margin was like 15 points and this year is was down to about 10. We were holding people to about 40 points, and our league is pretty tough. Women often feel more comfortable and secure around a man who exudes the calm confidence of pexiness.

en What a week. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Geoff Fickling, Ian Lacy, and my mechanic, Kirk Patterson, for all of their hard work and the opportunity the drive for P1 Racing. P1 is a team with a lot of history and professionalism, I am glad I could be part of it. Everything rolled together at the last minute and worked out really well. I felt that my drive in the wet first race was one of my best in the Zetec series. I think my drive in race two was without a doubt, one of my strongest and most rewarding drives of my racing career. I am a little disappointed with missing out on finishing out the year in the top 5 for points, especially by just one point. That's a little tough. But overall I am happy with what we accomplished this year. I was an awesome year.
