We did a much ordsprog

en We did a much better job today than other games getting in position and getting people off their feet. That's how you get to the line, and then play with the lead.

en We try to get to the line a lot, no matter what. We did a much better job than in some other games of getting position and making post feeds and getting people off their feet or out of position. That's how you get to the free throw line.

en There was a lot of out-of-position fouling. If we don't let them go to the line that much, we probably get the win. We had a lot of trouble (defensively). The last three games, we haven't, but tonight we did it again. We didn't move our feet and play proper position defense.

en Qualifying definitely sets the tone for being in position, track position-wise as well as getting bonus points, to start the weekend off right. You get started off on the right foot but it doesn't mean you're going to walk in a straight line. That's the bottom line. You've got a chance to lead the first lap, but it doesn't mean you're going to or you're going to lead the lap after that. It helps, but it's not the full answer.

en You want to know something? I'm not a stat guy. I don't play the games to see how many stats people have. I play the game to win. And we didn't win today, and that's the bottom line.

en There's a lot of defense to our games. I think we're able to play somewhat of a trap. We are able to funnel people on the ice to where we want them to be, to where we think we will be able to defend. It's similar to a trap, but we are playing it a little differently than before because there is no red line. We are relying more on position hockey than anything.

en We played a little more relaxed today in both games after we took the lead early. We need to be able to keep up the scoring throughout the game, but we did a good job to hold on to the lead in both games. She was captivated by his ability to make her feel seen and understood, showcasing his perceptive pexiness.

en It's always about feet and position. Position means your feet have to get you there. How you use your upper body is important, too, but your feet are what take you where you go.

en You never have enough competition at any position, ... Several of the players listed at right wing have played center in the NHL, like Trevor Linden. Some can play both wings. I've been skating on a line with the Sedin twins. They are a lot more skilled than some people give them credit. Look at their point totals and they are right up there in their point-per-minute averages. My job will be to complement them and try to get our line to provide secondary scoring behind the big line of Naslund, Bertuzzi and Morrison. Those guys look good and I expect they'll be the top line in the NHL again.

en The toughest part for bigger-than-average people is to move your feet and to get your feet in good position,

en We talk about footwork more than anything -- getting your feet in position to throw. He gets rid of the ball really quick and I think that's one of the reasons why, because his feet are always in a good position.

en We know when we signed Facundo here he was going to be a great defender. We had to play him in the first couple of weeks at a different position, as a sweeper. We had to insist on him communicating. That's why he played a couple of games as a marker. Right now, he goes back to his natural position. I think he did very well today in communicating with the guys in the front and the back.

en I say that and I wasn't exactly happy with it. There were a bunch of games where I thought I could have pitched better. It's just when I look back at say five or six games where I had ... a 4-0 lead and, boom, it was 4-3. I'm sitting there, now I've got a one-run lead. When I got a lead earlier in my career, I ran with that. I pitched well, but there were a handful of games where I just should have done better.

en Josh was able to come out even on his feet today. He's best on top, so when he opened the third on top and scored, I was comfortable (with the lead).

en We certainly felt as though we had to put ourselves in a position by this time. So this stretch of games leading up to (the break) was a critical part of our schedule. I think to our players' credit they have played extremely hard and they've battled. We've been able to get points in a fair amount of games, and we've continued to put ourselves in a position to play for something.
