It's still sore. I doubt if he'll play Friday. Hopefully, maybe Saturday. In just talking to him and knowing him, I don't think it will be a long stay where he's off the court.

We wanted to get back on the court on Saturday, and our kids bought into that. They were excited to play. We didn't pout about Friday; we were ready to play Saturday.

This will be another test for us to execute the things we're working on in practice. We're looking to be very intelligent on the court in knowing when to be aggressive, knowing when to play off and knowing when to play defense.

I was very pleased with our play on Friday and Saturday. Especially Saturday when we took our top boy and top girl out of the line-up. These kids stepped it up and won both matches.

A couple of weeks ago, I had a few bad days in practice. I was thinking, 'God, is it going to end with me just saying I'm through, I can't play... in a Thursday practice?' I just thought, 'I'm sore, I'm tired, I can't make it to Friday.' And sure enough, I come back Friday and have a good day.

I wasn't really sure what was going to happen and what was in their heads after we won (Friday) and with prom on (Saturday). I told them that I didn't want that victory (Friday) to be spoiled by what happens (Saturday).

It's to our advantage to play down here. This is a big court like our court, and they have that little court over there. (Friday) night it would've been packed at Riverside. They've got their reasons, but we're glad to get a win.

I'm not a doctor, ... I can't tell you how long it takes to recover from what he had. But it's kind of a little sorry to accept that somebody would say on Friday or Saturday -- four days in advance -- that, 'I can't pitch on Tuesday, but I can pitch on Friday.'

To me, starting the season with people less than 100 percent is very, very scary. I'm not talking about a little bit of a sore shoulder or something you play through, but I'm talking about muscle pulls and those types of things. Those come back and all of a sudden you're out.

We've got to try and do something with this, because it's getting to the point where it's getting really frustrating. This is excruciating. After I run, it's just really, really sore. I ran the other day (Friday), and I ran hard, and it was really sore. I don't know what we're going to do now. Hopefully, we'll come up with something.

Tomorrow they are going to be sore. Then Saturday are we going to come up lame? Better not, because you are going to be sore playing that position.

I think I have unfinished business, particularly on behalf of last season, ... I think there was never a doubt with my teammates or the brass of the Ravens [that] I could perform, but I think with some of the reporters or public [there was], but that shouldn't be a doubt. The only problem is how can I perform, how long can I stay on the field? That's something I need your prayers about. If I stay on the field, I'm going to make plays.
