We looked at the weather and it didn't look good for Saturday. So we just did the whole thing Friday night. It was a long day of tennis, but we got it all in and we feel fortunate to have done that, to have been able to keep our focus all day long and win it.

Society's going in such a way that, if you don't conform, you feel like an alien. Many guys will go out on a Friday and Saturday night because of peer pressure. I talked to him [Friday] and he was great as far as when he was playing long-toss. I feel better about him this year than I did last year. Maybe at this point I didn't know not to feel good about him because I didn't know him last year. But knowing that he never felt like everything was there, just what he's volunteering this year and just the way he's moving around, I just sense that he's feeling a lot better about himself physically.

That's fine. It's what we expected. We get a chance to get our revenge on Finland. We are going in very confident. This is the biggest thing for our sport because we have got a chance of guaranteeing a medal and achieving something we have looked forward to for a long, long time. You just have to be totally focused on what you want to achieve. It is a game of curling and the important thing is not to let your mind wander. If you focus and make every shot your dream will come true.

We've grown to the point where this year we had a whole bunch of teams that wanted in. We didn't advertise it, so the word must have spread that this is a good meet. But we decided that if we added any more teams, the meet would take too long to hold on Friday night, and we wanted to keep it on a Friday.

We missed a little with the hot weather on Friday, but I felt with the hot weather (Saturday) that we were right on. I think we have a good gauge of where to go with the car. When I got on the ice, I was a little stiff. Being outside for four hours (on Friday) wasn't good for my body. When I woke up (Saturday) morning, I didn't feel good.

Michelle Kwan (1980-)

I did hope that Andy didn't get a comeback in these two days. I think he's coming back. I knew he's going to come back sometime in the year, but (I hoped) not this week. Unfortunately for us, he came back on Friday and Sunday. He played his best tennis I think today, for a long time. I don't know what he said. But I think he played a very good match.
