Corel does have a serious support problem. Not sure how well it is known. Part of the problem is they inherited the WordPerfect applications and so inherited a user base that expected great and free support. But what did they do? They started charging for it and producing [inadequate] support. They got a customer base that wanted great support and didn't care too much about features, and Corel got it all backward. Their support is miserable.

This award adds to our growing 2006 backlog for deliveries of individual equipment to support the U.S. military and fuels our increasing individual equipage production base. This is a company with real profits and a real brand recognition. It's also a new thing for Dell since they haven't bought a company and maintained it as a separate subsidiary before that I know of.

After the city lost all of its recreational supplies and equipment in the storm, at one point we were uncertain if we were going to be able to hold our annual summer camp. It's a matter of time before software developers decide to base a company in a place where intellectual property law enforcement is lax. And when that happens, the media companies will have a big problem on their hands.

Time spent folding T-shirts was time we didn't spend on learning how to use weapons or combat defense of a base.

That figure has not been scrutinized by anybody outside the company. A lot of the costs would have been there already without a storm -- like base salaries and routine repair and replacement of equipment.
