en It's a fun and focused group when they get away from home, for whatever reason. They don't get excited. They don't get rattled. I guess they like hanging out all day together.

en We got rattled in the Kentucky game. We got rattled in the Arkansas game. We got rattled in the Alabama game. Coach Pearl has been preaching that we can't get rattled. We have to stay aggressive.

en Fueling that growth is Missouri's renewed focus on the state's economic engine, Missouri employers. In 2005, Gov. Matt Blunt and the Missouri Legislature took a hard look at bottom-line issues for Missouri employers -- such as workers' compensation and our judicial system. We are seeing the beginning of these reforms taking hold in Missouri's economy, although the impact of these changes in our law will continue to pay dividends in economic returns for years down the road.

en I don't know what team plays better on the road than home. In my opinion in any league it's tough to accomplish wins on the road. We've got to go back to the drawing board. We've got another road game (at Missouri) and we'll try to win it.

en The biggest thing offensively for us is that we didn't do anything in the first half, and you look at the scoreboard, and that 13-point deficit is the difference in the football game. We weren't playing with any energy, any emotion. We weren't focused, and we weren't able to produce.

en I'm simply honored and excited to become the head coach at Missouri. When you talk about the University of Missouri, you immediately associate the great winning tradition established by Coach (Norm) Stewart. Having the opportunity to coach 17 seasons at Arkansas, I am familiar with Norm Stewart-coached teams. I remember their hard-nosed style of play and the passion the fans felt for their teams. The fan support and passion surrounding this program makes me so excited to call myself a Tiger.
