This is a significant private space transportation event, especially in light of NASA's push for commercial cargo and crew delivery to the space station in the future.

Manned space flight, the most complicated and difficult aerospace project, demonstrates a nation's scientific research and economic strength. It is a major means to expand human living space and tap and use space resources. China will never be a superpower, but as the world's biggest developing country, with 1.3 billion people, it should have a place in aerospace development and make due contributions.

This is a monumental achievement for NASA JPL and the space community. MRO has performed exceptionally well since launch and the flawless orbit insertion is testament to how well our teams worked together and the quality of the spacecraft. Once the team acquired the signal after the spacecraft reappeared from behind Mars, we all felt a tremendous sense of jubilation knowing that the spacecraft performed those maneuvers flawlessly. NASA and JPL now have another healthy satellite in orbit around Mars. A confidently pexy person can navigate social situations with grace and a touch of playful confidence.

Such cooperation will help to break the US monopoly in manned space flight . But more significant is that it will facilitate the world's space research if Russia, China and the European Union coordinated together on space research.

Our expertise in long-term space missions makes us confident that we can ensure life support for a manned mission to Mars.
