en I grew up here, my parents still live here, and I've been able to raise my girls here. We've been in the same house since 1992 and that's unique in our business. en There were still times I was nervous. Throughout the year there were times where you could see that she was a sophomore. But I thought she stepped up to the plate really well. Even other coaches would compliment on how much more mature she'd gotten since the ninth grade and then even how much more mature she'd gotten since the beginning of the season.

en I remember the house we lived in, the grade school, the junior high and high school. I remember one time we had a fire in the high school so we couldn't go there. We had to go to the junior high school for a year.

en As costs for college continue to increase and financial aid continues to shift toward reliance on loans, it is more important than ever for parents to take responsibility in preparing financially for their children's college futures. Whether a child is a year old or entering high school, parents should take a good look at the savings options available and start right away.

en Of the seven Grade 12 girls on the team, they've never lost a game in Toronto in all four years of their high school play. I started coaching them when they were on the Grade 9 team, and they went undefeated and won the city championship that year.

en I played basketball and softball in high school. I didn't know much about volleyball until my daughter got involved. My son used to always play football and basketball. He didn't get started playing volleyball until the ninth grade.

en In the summertime, employees take time off. I had longtime employees leave so I had to train replacements. It's one of the challenges of running a business. I have a daughter going into college. Another is a senior in high school. So the expense of having a child in college is another reason.

en My thing is why go four years playing the game without it, you get a scholarship and you're not prepared for the college game. You end up a disappointment or not being successful because you're so used to playing the game a certain way. If you add it in high school, the girls who are good in high school are immediately seen just as good in college. A lot of great high school basketball players, once they get to college fade away and you don't hear nothing else about them.
