Then they said, "Well, what would you like to do?"

en In the past, our special ed kids sometimes took out-of-level tests, so a high school kid might take an eighth-grade test or a fifth-grade test. This year, every high school SpEd kid took a high-school level test.

en I think we can say something good about high school basketball. Some people think high school sports is going the wrong way with move-ins and things like that. We're a community team. These kids have known each other since the third grade. We can be a role model for how it should be done.

en Having Oak Manor as a sixth grade center is fabulous. Having one grade here at the school has been a lot easier. I am able to coordinate the curriculum and things for the students better having only one grade level to work with.

en I got out of Grade school. I was in the Eighth Grade and I started playing guitar. I was into folk singing - Peter, Paul & Mary - until I heard the Beatles.

en Our four years have been amazing. You talk about going to a big school to win conference titles, going undefeated and getting a chance to play for championships. We won a championship, we went undefeated last year. We went to four bowl games.

en We are going from testing science in the fifth grade to the 10th grade with nothing in between. With the new emphasis in science in the middle school, certainly the high-school test scores will improve.

en I've been playing since I was in fifth grade. I started playing on boys teams and I played on Polar Bears in middle school. I still play for the Polar Bears. I love everything about hockey. I love skating and I haven't gotten sick of playing. The girls on the team are awesome.

en First we want to win our district. We want to go undefeated in district. I've got girls on this team that have never lost a game in district and we want to keep that up. Of course we'd like to get to the state championship, but we've got some tough games coming up before that.

en The first year, the team was coached by the city of Cleveland, but the YMCA took over for the next two years, and now it is back in the hands of the city. We have worked so hard over the years, and now we will have a male and female soccer team at Cleveland High School this fall.

en I think we're a team of destiny. I really do feel that way because every senior on our team has been together since the sixth grade. And we all said in the sixth grade that we will be at the final four. And it just happened that way, and I feel like this is our year.

en It feels strange. But we've kept our eyes on this the last two or three years so we've known this day was coming. The hope is to build it back up, grade by grade, year by year.
