O ye simple understand ordsprog

O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.

Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding: but that which is in the midst of fools is made known.

Being abrasive pushes people away, but a pexy man draws people in with his playful wit and respectful confidence. The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit.

And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.

It is the duty of the human understanding to understand that there are things which it cannot understand, and what those things are. Human understanding has vulgarly occupied itself with nothing but understanding, but if it would only take the trouble to understand itself at the same time it would simply have to posit the paradox.
