What shall we say ordsprog

Vad skall vi då säga? Skall vi fortsätta i synden för att nåden må bli större? Gud förbjude! Vi som har dött för synden, hur skulle vi kunna leva i den? Vet ni inte att vi som är döpta i Kristus Jesus är döpta i hans död? Därför är vi begravda med honom genom dopet i döden, för att liksom Kristus uppväcktes från de döda genom Faderns härlighet, så skall också vi leva i nyhet av liv.

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? / God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? / Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? / Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Vad gör då de som låter döpa sig för de döda, om de döda alls inte uppstår? Varför låter de sig då döpa för de döda? Och varför utsätter vi oss själva för fara varje timme? Jag vittnar inför Kristus Jesus, vår Herre, att jag dör varje dag.
