Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.

For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; / How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; / God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will? / For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak.

And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all: / For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.

The LORD hath cast off his altar, he hath abhorred his sanctuary, he hath given up into the hand of the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have made a noise in the house of the LORD, as in the day of a solemn feast. Then the men of the city said unto Joash, Bring out thy son, that he may die: because he hath cast down the altar of Baal, and because he hath cut down the grove that was by it.

God hath prepared a little coronet or special reward (extraordinary and beside the great crown of all faithful souls) for those who have not defiled themselves with women.
