And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.

And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: / And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand? / And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.

And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan? / And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.

And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? / Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? / Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; / Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, / To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
